Feeling the arms around his neck helped Joey relax and he breath out, smiling again against Blaine’s lips as he returned the kiss before making his own side comment as always. “I think you meant to say the best man picked me babe,” he couldn’t help but add with a cheeky grin knowing Blaine would protest. Before he could though Joey took his hand and lead him to the car. In about 20 minutes they would be pulling up to the restaurant, also in about 20 minutes there would be some asshole following them, snapping pictures but Joey had already mentally prepared himself for that.

Once at the car he slipped over to Blaine’s side, getting his door with a grin. “Hey if we’re gonna have one perfect night out I gotta do it right,” Joey offered with his same usual lop-sided smirk as he waited for Blaine to get in before wandering over to his side to start up the car. 

Blaine sighed and looked at him, a smirk present. “Im not…Oh, whatever!” He shook his head laughing softly as he followed Joey to the car. He knew they were going to have a nice night, after the initial shock of Blaine Anderson being a real person. He wouldnt have it any other way. 

He slipped into the seat and closed the door, already missing his hand with Joey’s. He sighed impatiently and grabbed his fiance’s hand the second Joey started the car. “I love you.” He said, kissing the knuckles. “I know i keep saying it, but i just want you to know.” Blaine said softly, laying his cheek against his and Joeys hands.

Letting out a soft sigh as Blaine gave him his out, Joey nodded his head. “I’m sure I want to do this..” he told him, having to coax his fiance to follow him but as they got to the front door he stopped, turning to Blaine. In all reality Joey hated fighting with Darren. They were like brothers in a way and when they would seriously fight it drove him crazy… but he knew this had to happen.

“I don’t want to fight with Dare… you know that…” Joey said blankly before letting his eyes meet with Blaine’s. “But… I can’t hide our relationship anymore… I never wanted to begin with…” Sighing he wondered if he was making sense before going on. “Besides at the wedding I plan on having Dare as my best man, the press is gonna find out sooner or later and the longer we hide the more people will think I’m ashamed or something and honestly that couldn’t be farther from the truth… Because I am proud to say you are mine and I’m proud to say you’re going to be my husband…” Somewhere in his rattled speech his eyes became blurry with tears but Joey was too caught up in his speech to even notice. “So just for tonight, before we have to deal with the drama and the fighting… I just… I want us to have a nice time… together.”

Blaine looked over at him and stopped at the door, “Okay. Then we can.” He smiled softly as he began to talk before placing a hand on his cheek and stroking it gently. “I know you dont..” He sighed before begin cut off. Blaine felt himself smile again, as he looked into Joey’s eyes. He truly was to amazing for his own good. 

“I…Okay.” He said lamely, before wrapping his arms around Joey’s neck and kissing him gently. “I love you so much. I truly picked the best man ever.” He giggled and pulled back to look into his eyes. “Lets go have a nice then time, yeah? Just me and you, just me and you for one night.” Blaine smiled and laced their fingers together again before opening the door and stepping out, pulling Joey along. This was going to be a good night, he just knew it.

“Not nearly as amazing or perfect as you,” Joey cooed looking Blaine over again with a small smile. “But I suppose I’ll do,” he couldn’t help but tease. Everything felt just right about tonight and the only sensation he could feel was excitement and his nerves melted around him at just the sight of Blaine’s smiled that let him know tonight would be alright… That tonight they could finally go out as just… Blaine and Joey.

“Alright Krypto, you be a good boy and bother the hell outta Dare while we’re gone,” he told the pup, patting his head as he got a soft yap in return before turning his attention back to Blaine. “Let’s go,” he said with a warm smile as he lead the way through the house, lucky that Darren hadn’t gotten home too early.

Blaine rolled his eyes slightly, just nodding in response. He didnt want to get into one of those ‘not as amazing as you’ arguments. “Yeah, you’ll do..” He laughed softly and smiled up at Joey. “Yeah, annoy him all for me and daddy.” He said back to the dog, returning his attention on Joey. “Dare is going to kill us…are you sure? We can just order take out if you dont want him to yell..I will understand.” 

Blaine really hated when Joey and Darren fought, they were bestfriends. They weren’t supposed to fight, right? He followed Joey out the room, lacing their fingers together as they walked down the hall, giving him every chance to turn back now.

Once Blaine pulled away Joey regretted his decision instantly until he could remind himself he would had then entire night to be close to his fiance. There was no one who would tell him otherwise either, not any fan, not the press not even… 

“Shit… Dare said he’d be home early…” Joey muttered out loud recalling what his best friend and told him before taking off for the studio this morning. “I rather not deal with him and have him ruin our night,” he confessed knowing running into Darren now would ruin everything. “I’ll hurry and then we can go.” With that Joey smiled, stealing a quick kiss as he grabbed an outfit that was hanging in his closet, disappearing into the bathroom. After about 5 minutes he was finished as he stepped out in a pair of black slacks, a dressy, short sleeved plaid button down and a black vest. The plaid made is seem less dressy and much more… Joey but that is what he was going for. “Ready~” he called in a sing song voice with a grin as he offered his arm to Blaine.

Blaine nodded when he heard Joey mention Darren. “Yeah, he did..” He sighed a little, sitting up with the puppy. “Okay!” Blaine sat back, waiting for Joey to return just thinking baout how perfect this night would be. How amazing it was going to be to walk around in the outside holding his fiances hand, and kissing him in public. It made his heart jump with happiness. 

When he heard Joey come back in he looked up, setting the puppy aside and patting his head. “Perfect.” he whispered, taking his arm and walking up to him. “You look..amazing..” He said, smiling up at Joey, looking into his eyes. He was so in love, he didnt think or want anything to change that.

Returning the kiss with a small grin Joey let his hands wrap around Blaine’s waist as he pulled him close. Something he could never get tired of was having the younger boy close, it just made him feel happier then he could ever remember and that was how he knew Blaine was the one. That’s how he knew going out tonight, no matter what the headlines might say about him and Darren, was in fact worth it. Damage control would come after but tonight was his chance to show off the amazing boy who he was going to spend the rest of his life with.

“Nah,” Joey said with a small smile as he brushed one of Blaine’s curls out of his face. “I’m kinda under dressed if anything,” he said as he gestured to his sweats and his startkid t-shirt. It was nothing fancy, not in comparison to Blaine. “I didn’t know we’d be going out when I got dressed… but uh I can change real quick..” Joey offered looking into his fiance’s gorgeous hazel eyes.

Blaine let out a soft chuckle and rest his hands on Joey’s shoulders. “Mm.” He sighed happily and leaned more into the embrace, kissing him more. He just loved how happy Joey made him feel. How complete he felt in his arms, and how comfortable he felt around him. He truly was the only one for Blaine, and that made him so happy. 

Smiling, he nodded carefully. “You look beautiful all the time, but okay.” He stood back down from his toes. Yes, Blaine Anderson had to stand on his toes when he kissed Joey, he couldnt help how short he was, he just had to embrace it. He sat down on the bed and fell back, looking up at the ceiling while he waited for Joey, Krypto coming to keep him company.

Opening the front door Joey couldn’t help but laugh as he was greeted by the yapping pup at his feet. “What makes you think anything in this bag is for you huh?” he asked Krypto in a mocking voice that only made the dog yap louder as he adjusted the bags in his hands, making his way into the kitchen to unpack everything. As he worked Joey pulled out among other things a bone for Kyrpto, a few tubs of ice cream for him and Blaine and a pack of Twizzlers (the he knew his best friend secretly preferred) for Darren. Maybe it was was more of a peace offering now then a gift but Joey tried not to think about it. He didn’t want to think about how Darren or the media would react, he only wanted to think about taking his gorgeous fiance on a proper date.

Once the groceries were unpacked Joey headed into the guest bathroom downstairs to freshen up a bit, wanting to look his best for Blaine. After a moment of primping (not something the actor usually did) Joey sprayed on a bit of cologne before heading out of the bathroom and up the steps as he knocked lightly on their bedroom door. “Babe..?” he called softly, only opening the door after not getting a reply. As he did Joey let his crooked jaw drop as he looked over his fiance who looked breath taking… literally since he found himself having to recall how to breath. “You… you look…” taking a step closer he swallowed the lump in his throat as he smiled. “Wow…”

Blaine heard the dog barking and his fiance’s voice ring through the silence, making him smile. He grabbed some cologne, and ran to brush his teeth. When he finished he walked back into their room and waited for Joey to come up. He was slightly nervous, as he always was. He loved Joey to death, but he was always worried of not being good enough, even though he knew he was. It was confusing. 

Smiling he heard the knock and looked up at Joey standing there. “Hi!” He smiled, a bright blush growing on his cheeks. “Oh..I..Thank you.” A small giggle escaped his lips as he walked over to Joey, kissing him gently. “You look amazing as well my love.”

Blaine was more than excited to go out. He loved spending time and seeing Joey sure, but showing him off. Gong out and showing everyone that he was engaged to the most amazing man on the planet. It was all he could ever want. He wanted everyone to know that he was Joey’s, and Joey was his. Although he knew that Darren was going to absolutely kill him, and they were going against everything he said..Blaine couldnt seem to care. HE was happy, and thats all he could ask for. 

He wanted to hurry, if he did they could get out before Darren got home, so he set down his phone and ran to the bathroom. Not wasting anytime, he turned the shower on and stepped in, singing to himself as he washed his hair and body. When that was done, in a relatively fast time, he quickly stepped out and wrapped the towel around his waist making his way into his and Joey’s room. “What to wear..what to wear..” Blaine sighed, picking out some nice black pants of Darren’s, and a simple blue button up. He always wore Darren’s clothes seeing as most of his were at home and he had everything he needed here since him and Darren were the same size. “Looking good, Anderson.” He whispered at himself in the mirror as he straightened out his shirt, running his fingers through his hair. Joey would be here any minute.
